Around a long white table - six young people are sitting. They have tablets in front of them and a white lightbulb is brightly shining.

The Elders

The Elders (Os Anciaos) is a play starring actors between 12 and 18 years old, set 40 years in the future, who play politicians 40 years older than they are.

Taking place over the course of a few hours in a Doctor Strangelove style war room where top secret decisions are made, the politicians decide to take drastic action to deal with the pesky elderly generation known as “The Millenials.”

Upcoming Performances:

The Elders will be performed throughout Sweden by theatre groups of young people in 2024 as part of Riksteatern’s Connections programme.
